Screenplay coaching involves a 12-16 week commitment on both our parts. This includes somewhere in the vicinity of 4 weeks of planning, sketching, character work, and story development, and 8-12 weeks of writing. Every week, based on the flow of the rest of your life, you will send me a set number of pages. I will read and analyze them in and of themselves, as well as in the context of where the script has been and where it’s going. We will conference on the phone for two hours once a week, reviewing your work—page-by-page, scene-by-scene, line-by-line. You will also call me whenever you feel frustrated and lost at sea, or triumphant and ready to beat the band. These phone calls, shorter in duration, will serve as shots of enthusiasm, moments of connection, and bursts of confirmation.
The price of a 16-week commitment is $2,880.
$960 is due on commencement.
$960 is due after six weeks.
$960 is due after 12 weeks.
Rewrite Coaching
If you have written the first draft of your script (or the second or third) and are interested in exploring the idea of hiring me as your coach for your next rewrite, that is certainly possible. My services to you will be the same—weekly 2-hour consultations and frequent, shorter exchanges—except for the fact that we will be working from your previous draft, rather than from a concept or treatment. Our rewrite commitment to each other involves an 8-10 week period of time, two weeks of redevelopment and 6-8 weeks of rewriting, depending on the flow of your life. My reading/appraisal fee is $500. This fee includes my reading and analysis and a 2-hour consultation: a page-by-page, scene-by-scene, line-by-line assessment, as well as a discussion of rewrite direction, goals, and strategy. This amount is applied to the rewrite commitment.
The price of a 10-week rewrite commitment is $1,800.
$500 is due on commencement (reading appraisal fee/first payment).
$650 is due after four weeks.
$650 is due after eight weeks.
Payments must be made in $US by bank or personal check.
